Forget about RT-AX68U model. One single person on SNB Forum is recommending this perhaps already discontinued model. It disappeared from stores here in Canada months ago. It has a history of firmware and performance issues, not popular model. Do your homework.

There are also several past posts on using Pi-Hole and DNSFilter here on SNB Forums as well one can search for and read. Again this is a YMMV. For me the setup works. Network clients use the Pi-Holes and the Pi-Holes shows those requests correctly with the client names in the Query Log, and the ads are blocked.

For me I use Dual Band Smart Connect and pretty much leave the rest of the WIFI settings at default. As for specifics I do set the 5 GHz Auto Channel to 20, 40, 80, 160 MHz with WIFI 6 enabled. You can check the Auto select channel including DFS channels but more about this in a bit. For the 2.4 GHz band I set it to Auto Channel at 20 MHz.
