The T55 Java is more tightly wrapped sound wise with a lot of focus. Big excellent for a wide variety of playing situations, however I prefer (and am looking for) and great STM with a lot of 'zing' to the sound. I like the key placement and very positive feel better than most modern horns with the exception of a post too close to the octave key.The effects of tuning (pulling the mouthpiece in or out) are not linear. That is, a 1/8" or 5mm or whatever movement of the mpc, whether in (sharper) or out (flatter) will affect the high tones far more than the bottom end of the horn.
