It's a SS topcoat urethane that can be cleared or mixed with clear on the final coat.JFG Discussion starter · Feb 25, 2009. Hi! I'm planning to use the Nason Ful-thane 2k urethane (solid black) with maybe a clearcoat Nason 497 (depending on your comments). The car (a small Nissan Sentra 1996 ) is already black so it's gonna be black on black.we were going to use the Nason ful-thane , but our supplier suggested the Imron. I was amazed at how well it sprayed. You can plow that stuff on & it will not run. Im seriously thinking about using it when I do my truck. you can even get it in Flat, Semigloss, or regular gloss. Before I sprayed I wiped the panel with 70% rubbing alcohol. The fisheyes/solvent pop didn't show up until an hour or two after the last coat. I sanded down the panel with 220 and some of the craters are fairly deep but non of them go to the primer. Could it be oil in the air section of the gun?.
