Dec 17, 2019 · Financially, you don't need that much more hem-onc salary to surpass those 3yrs of hospitalist earnings, over the course of 20yrs. Hem-onc will likely out-earn hospitalist over 20+yrs cumulatively anyway. You'll be more than fine financially either way and reach your goals. Do what you want and what interests you; medically, lifestyle, etc.
